Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas by listed artist Anthony Veccio (born 1949). This painting depicts a fierce horserace, with four steeds seen rounding a corner, leaning intensely into the curve. Created with gestural strokes of a palette knife, this expressive work was painted in cool blues and purples in the background and more saturated tones across the horse and jockeys’ bodies. Signed in purple paint to lower right, this work is presented in a wooden frame with cast corner embellishments and gold tone finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
