Original 1960s "Derrière le Miroir" Double-sided Lithograph after Saul Steinberg Drawings "The Violinst" & "Train Station"

An original 1960s lithograph plate from the French publication Derrière le Miroir after the original ink and marker drawings by well-listed artist and caricaturist Saul Steinberg (1914 – 1999). One side is titled The Violinist, depicting a handsome, plump man wearing a suit, seated calmly in a delicate chair, preparing to play his violin. Steinberg’s signature is printed in plate to the lower right. The other side is titled Train Station, depicting a dizzying, optically mesmerizing architectural structure with endless train tunnels leading to a blank white abyss. This piece is not framed, and is presented in a paper folder for safe-keeping.
Condition
- light wear to edges and corners of print. Tape is applied to upper edge and minimally to other edges and all corners.
