An original pochoir plate after the original 1959 gouache painting by well listed and renowned Spanish Surrealist Joan Miró, titled Femmes sur la Plage. This pochoir is from the original 1959 limited edition of 350 portfolio publications of a series of Miró’s gouache works by André Breton, titled Constellations: a Suite of Twenty-Two Pochoirs, Pierre Matisse Gallery, New York. The image depicts dreamlike sequences of humanoid figures and intuitive shapes intermingling within the pictorial space, with clean patches of saturated primary colors. Miró’s signature is printed in plate near the lower center edge. This print is mounted under cream mat with silver fillet, under acrylic museum glass in a beveled wood frame with a hammered silver tone finish. The verso includes a window exposing the reverse of the print, with the reproduced inscriptions of Miró printed in French. This item is wired to hang.
