Circa 1882 Emily Reid Original Gouache "St. Francis" Plate
Item Details
An original gouache painting over a catalogue photo of an Italian Renaissance plate illustrating St. Francis receiving the ‘Stigmata’ by Emily Reid with the descriptive text affixed to the back. The miniature painting is done in fine, exacting detail to illustrate the majolica plate. The painting is signed in the lower right corner, it has been framed by a beige mat and covered in clear wrap. Please note similar paintings by the artist are offered as items #17DCC044-276 through 279, several are dated 1822.
