A pair of Louis XV style side tables and a secretary by Heritage Furniture. The walnut-finished group features shell moldings and painted details. The secretary features side and back rails on the top. There is a shallow drawer just below, fitted with hand-painted ceramic knobs in a flower design. Below this drawer is a hinged panel which folds down to reveal a work surface and a variety of divided compartments and two small drawers fitted with wood knobs. The desk is fitted with a lock, and comes with a skeleton key. Below the desktop are three dovetailed drawers, all fitted with wide, hinged brass tone metal handles. There is a carved shell along the bottom skirt, and the secretary rests on carved, cabriole legs. The matching side table cabinets are made of the same wood, featuring the same carved shell details on the tops of the cabinet doors, which have recessed panels hand-painted with swags of flowers. The cabinets have a single drawer at the top hand-painted ceramic knobs that match the secretary. They have double cabinet doors below, also carved with shell motifs and hand-painted floral swags to the center panels. The insides of the cabinets have one shelf. The pair of table cabinets rest on carved, cabriole legs with a carved shell motif along the bottom skirts. The secretary and both the side tables are marked ‘Heritage’ to the insides.

Condition

- light surface scuffs and scratches throughout; one hinge on the fold-down desktop has become detached and will need to be re-attached.
