Item Details
A signed limited edition 1969 color woodblock on mulberry paper by listed Japanese artist Tadashi Nakayama (中山 正, 1927-2014). In this image, a brilliantly colored pansy levitates below a gray, glowing orb in the sky, as the profile portrait of a woman with lavish, stylized long hair floats into the pictorial space from the right. The print is dated, signed by the artist, and numbered 52 of an edition of 85 in pencil across the lower margin; mounted under a pale neutral mat, behind glass in a deep-set wood frame with a distressed gilt border.
Condition
- discoloration to print and mat. Finish of frame has light wear.
