1790s Belknap's "American Biography" Volumes
Item Details
A collection of the first two volumes of Jeremy Belknap’s American Biography: Or, An Historical Account of Those Persons Who Have Been Distinguished in America, as Adventurers, Statesmen, Philosophers, Divines, Warriors, Authors, and Other Remarkable Characters; Comprehending a Recital of the Events Connected With Their Lives and Actions. These volumes were published by Isaiah Thomas and Ebenezer T. Andrews of Boston, the first in 1794 and the second in 1798. Both are fully leatherbound with gilt spine decoration.

- rot to leather; hinge damage; cap and tail damage; knocked corners; discoloration and foxing.
