A collection of three volumes from the first American edition of The World Displayed; or, a Curious Collection of Voyages and Travels, Selected and Compiled From the Writers of All Nations by Smart, Goldsmith, & Johnson by Samuel Johnson, Christopher Smart, and Oliver Goldsmith. This collection includes volumes II, IV and VIII of the eight-volume work published in 1795 by Dobelbower, Key, and Simpson of Philadelphia. All are brown leatherbound hardcovers with gilt spine decoration.
