Vintage "Virginia Galleries" Jewelry Box by Henkel-Harris
Item Details
A vintage Virginia Galleries jewelry box by Henkel-Harris. The mahogany case features a rectangular, hinged lid with a monogrammed plaque opening to a mirrored interior with an orange, velvet-lined storage tray. Directly below is a single, cockbeaded drawer with brass tone, ring pulls. The case is fitted with lateral-mounted, bail handles and it rises on a molded base with ogee, bracket feet. It is marked by the manufacturer on the interior and underside.

- piece of moulding on front right of the drawer is missing; one dividing panel in main box is broken (included); lock mechanism for chest and drawer doesn’t properly function; minor wear on inside of box lid; small damage on box near lock plate; on front of closed lid’s edge; small chunk missing from lid edge moulding on back right side; small gouge on upper back of chest; small gouge on lower base moulding on left side; small chunk missing from front right foot; some dents on front-right corner edge; damaged spot on upper back spot of front-left foot where it attaches to chest; top of box has several scratches and scuffs
