An original tempera and watercolor painting on paper mounted to paperboard by well-listed and renowned Cincinnati, Ohio artist Robert Fabe (1917-2004). The piece is an extremely unique piece in Fabe’s body of work, which usually consists of dark, moody depictions of children in wintery landscapes. Here, an artist sits on a tall ladder painting a massive abstract painting in vibrant shades of orange, red, blue, and yellow with dramatic black accents. The painting is signed in pencil to the lower right. It is presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.
Condition
- light warping, yellowing, and discoloration to edges. Foxing to lower center and upper right edges. Damage would mostly be covered by matting and framing.
