Group of Silver Plate Items Including Christofle
Item Details
A group of silver plate items. This lot of eight tableware pieces includes a gravy boat, a pair of salt and pepper shakers, a candle snuffer, two salt cellars, a sauce pot, and a creamer. The claw-footed shakers are marked to the base ‘MS – England’, a hallmark of Barker-Ellis from 1912. The matching salt cellars have the same lion embellishments and hallmark. The sauce pot is marked to the base with the scales hallmark and ‘2 – Christofle’. The three-footed creamer with a hinged lid is marked with a fleur-de-lis to the base.
Condition
- surface scratches and wear consistent with age and use; base metal seen on some pieces.
