Joseph Demarais Original Signed Limited Edition Deep Etching
Item Details
An original 1966 signed limited edition deep etching on wove paper with a la poupée coloring by listed American artist Joseph Demarais (1927-1971). Demarais etched copper, zinc, masonite and acetate to achieve these highly-textural surfaces. The print depicts a tiny image of a playfully illustrated owl with wide, dark eyes. It is signed, dated, and numbered 7/260 in pencil to the lower margin. The print is triple-matted in brown, gold, and white and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with cast surface embellishments, gold tone finish, and a hanging wire.
