Japanese Gouache Painting on Paper
Item Details
An original Japanese gouache painting on paper. This work depicts a small building and two men, one man chases a cat with a chick in its mouth while a hen and remaining chicks scatter. The piece has a red artist seal in the lower right corner. It is presented as floating on a white background, under glass in a wood frame with a tan liner and gold tone gesso liner. It has a wire to the verso ready to hang.
Condition
- print has shifted in frame; toning; background paper is wrinkled; wear and abrasions to frame; vinyl liner is peeling; gesso finish to gold tone liner is chipping and peeling.
