Owens "Utopian" Tankard and Mugs
Item Details
A J.B. Owens Utopian pottery tankard and mugs. The pitcher has a cylindrical body, a circular mouth with a small spout, a slightly hooked handle, and a small tapered base with the mugs having a tapered barrel shape with handles. The pieces have a brown high-gloss glaze with a floral design on one mug and the tankard and two mugs having a cherry design. All the pieces are marked Owens with the mugs marked 1035 and the tankard marked 1015. The J.B. Owens Pottery Company made art pottery in Zanesville, OH from 1885-1907.
Condition
- wear consistent with age and use; would benefit from cleaning; crazing.
