Large Signed Handbuilt Stoneware Platter
Item Details
A large signed, handbuilt and wood fired stoneware pottery platter. It features an oval shape and is glazed in an improvisational abstract pattern with colors of green, red, blue, orange and black with coiled, impressed handles to either end. It has a raised foot of two coils with divots in the center, glazed in a muted grey with evidence of the wood firing environment in a semi-matte sheen to the underside. It is illegibly signed to the center base.
Condition
- slight chipping of glaze and wear consistent with age and use
