An original lithographic poster designed by extremely well-listed artist Joan Miro (1893-1983) to advertise his 1965 exhibition Cartoons at the Galerie Maeght in Paris, France. The poster features a single, black figure reminiscent of an abstracted mermaid floats over a seemingly random spattering of bright primary colors. Text to the upper right reads ‘Galerie Maeght’, while scrawled text along the lower portion of the print reads ‘Cartoons’ and ‘Miro’. Mounted beneath a layer of textured, dark brown matting, this print is presented behind glass in a silver and black frame with hanging wire present to verso.
