A lithograph on paper after George E. Hicks’s Penny a Bunch. This lithograph depicts a young girl posed in side portraiture, clutching at a red piece of rope tied to what appears to be a bundle of leaves with a blue flower. She looks forward with frazzled hair and a pensive stare while offering another blue flower. An in plate signature is found to the lower right corner of the composition. The print is presented under glass beneath a single-layered mat in a gold tone wooden frame featuring moulded scroll motifs and hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- frame has pieces missing and is loose; some marks to glass; backing paper stained and torn.
