An original mixed media on salvaged cardboard with watercolor, gouache, and ink by well-listed contemporary Italian Folk Surrealist painter Antonio Romano (Italy/New York/New Jersey; born 1953), titled Tumachaghee. The image depicts a folk portrait of a Native American man dressed in a Civil War-style blue uniform, holding a metal handgun. His face is adorned with warpaint, his hair with feathers. Artist signature and title are marked in ink to the mid-left center. This piece is mounted in a vintage wood frame with cast corner applique with gold leaf finish.
Condition
- frame is notably worn with chips, nicks, and scratches.
