Circa 1899 Crescent Organ Co. Pump Organ

Item Details

An antique pump organ, manufactured by the Crescent Organ Co, circa 1899. This organ features an intricately carved and pierced pediment with a banister, in an Eastlake design with flowers and ball finials. It has a beveled mirror, a music stand which lifts up to reveal a storage compartment, and sound holes with red velvet covering and carved lyre-shaped overlays. The pulls are labeled as follows: Principal, Diapason, Dulcet, Bass Coupler, Forte, Cremona, Flute Forte, Echo Horn, Melodia, and Celeste. The two foot pedals are covered in matching red velvet fabric. The organ is marked above the keyboard, ‘Crescent, Manf’d Expressly For Harding & Riehm, Louisville, KY’.
