1860s American Hudson River Style Museum Frame
Item Details
An American Hudson River School style museum frame from the 1860s. It features a gilt wood and gesso with an oak leaf and acorn motif around the exterior edge. Four acanthus leaf motifs are present to the cove molding interior. The liner and sight edge display a stylized leaf motif. To the verso, is an informative tag.
Condition
- molding is missing throughout the frame; blocks are present to the verso to fight a smaller piece into the frame.
