Miniature Federal Period Cherry Chest of Drawers, Circa 1800

Item Details

A miniature American Federal period chest of drawers, circa 1800. This diminutive cherry chest of drawers features a solid top with banded edging, and uses poplar and pine secondary woods. There are three graduated full length drawers, with the top drawer designed as a two drawer facade. All with rope inlaid, oval brass pulls, dovetail joinery and diamond shaped escutcheons to the two larger drawers. The chest sits on scalloped apron with tapered bracket feet to the front.

Condition

Oval pulls added later, and there are cracks to the bottom apron. Top shows appropriate wear for age.
