Gorham and Frank M. Whiting Sterling Silver Dishes
Item Details
A pair of sterling silver dishes. The pieces were made by Gorham and Frank M Whiting. Included is a bread tray with raised scrolls around the rim which was produced by Frank M Whiting in pattern number 3504. There are impressed marks reading ‘Sterling 3504’ and a ‘W’ mark for Whiting. There is an oval two handled tray with shell molding made by Gorham. A Gorham pseudo hallmark is impressed on the underside as well as ‘Sterling’. The total approximate weight is 16.715 ozt.
Condition
- some minor surface wear with faint markings and tarnishing; monogram in the center of both trays.
