A lacquered acrylic painting on board of a forest. This colorist painting depicts a forest from the ground level, which is populated with clusters of tree trunks and splotches of brush strokes indicating shrubbery. The forms are contained with loose, black outlines. The painting features a palette of auburn, light brown, lime green and hunter green. It is presented under a single-layered mat in a bronze tone wooden frame featuring moulded scroll and floral patterning to the surface and hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- frame has chips throughout; lower right corner of gesso is broken; matting has soiling towards lower portion; lacquer finish has bubbles throughout surface.
