An oil painting on board of a winter landscape by artist W. J. Richardson. This painting depicts a grouping of pine trees that frame a sprawling mountain and canopy of trees to the background, all of which are covered with snow. An artist signature is found to the lower left corner of the composition. The painting is presented in an off-white painted frame featuring carved patterning to the surface and hanging wire to the verso.

- slight discoloration to varnish; stains along bottom edge; wear to finish of frame; backing paper torn and attached with tape.
