Pichler Oil Painting on Canvas of Waves Under a Grey Sky
Item Details
An oil painting on board by Pichler. This small work depicts waves crashing upon a shore in the foreground, with gray hills visible on the distant shore, beneath a turbulent clouding sky. It is signed in the bottom right corner ‘Pichler’ however no clear artist attribution could be made. It is presented in a gold tone and green painted frame with a linen liner inner border, with a hoop on verso for hanging.
Condition
- paint has intentional craquelure at the bottom portion of the painting; bottom left corner of the frame is chipped; frame does not have backing paper.
