An original mixed media work using acrylic paint and oil pastels by listed Russian artist and graphic illustrator Timofey Andreevich Lyashchuk, circa 1960. Painted in vivid tones, this work was designed to be recreated as a Soviet motivational propaganda poster, and features a large male figure to the foreground, depicted in bright orange and yellow, and wearing a wide grin on his face. Behind him, men are seen doing construction work, the scene created in contrasting cool tones of blue, green, and purple. Russian text is present to the upper and lower left side, essentially translating with the general message that, with the united great effort of the people of the workforce, they can achieve great things. The poster then asks the union of the workforce to achieve half of their plan before the next term begins (through their great efforts). The painting is signed to the verso, visible through a window cut out of the backing of the frame. The piece is presented behind acrylic glass in a wooden frame with a matter black finish and hanging wire present to verso.
