Antique Middletown Silver Plate Tea Set
Item Details
An antique Middletown silver plate tea set. The group consists of wares decorated with ball finials and Art Nouveau style motifs. There are lions heads molded into the terminals and paw feet. The set is comprised of a coffee pot, teapot, lidded sugar bowl, creamer and waste bowl. There are marks dating the set to between 1864-99 after which the Connecticut factory was acquired by International Silver Co. There are impressed factory marks reading ‘Middletown Conn.’.

- losses to the silverplate, scratches and tarnish.
