An offset lithograph poster promoting an exhibition of German Expressionism. This poster features an offset lithograph reproduction of Ernst Kirchner’s oil painting Circus Rider_. The title of the exhibition is printed at the top, reading ’Expressionism: A German Intuition 1905-1920. As printed at the bottom, this exhibition was held at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 1981. Image credits are print along the right edge, indicating that the poster is copyrighted by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and it was designed by Malcolm Grear Designers, Inc. The poster is not mounted and remains unframed.
