Tie-Feng Jiang Limited Edition Serigraph on Paper "Young Girl of Suzhou"

A limited edition serigraph on paper titled Young Girl of Suzhou by well-listed artist Tie-Feng Jiang (China/United States; b.1938), published in 1987. In an abstract and geometric style, the work depicts a variety of male and female figures. Hand numbered by the artist with its edition to the lower left corner; item is number 39 in an edition of 293 regular prints. Signed by the artist in gold-tone ink to the lower right corner. Titled in graphite to the verso lower right and stamped with the publishing information to the verso lower left.

Born in Ningbo, Zhejiiang Province, in China, Jiang showed great aptitude and passion for art as a child. After an intense competition, Jiang was accepted to study art at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing at age 21. In 1964, he earned his B.A. and was a member of the last class to graduate before the cultural revolution. Jiang is most well-known for his colorful and abstract works. These works have earned him both praise and condemnation over the years in China. He has exhibited extensively throughout the United States, where he currently lives with his family.
