A pair of hand-woven Mexican Zapotec Indian area rugs. The pair includes a striped rug in a palette of maroon, pink, papaya, teal, tan and red. The stripes in the rug vary from solid colored, to striped and patterned. It is labeled ‘Zapotec Indian Rug – Filomeno Gonzalez Perez – Jose Maria Pino Suarez – Teotitlan Del Valle – Hand Made in Mexico – 100% Wool’. The other rug is in a palette of dark orange, red, tan, brown, teal, red, maroon, black and gray. The stripes vary in width, with some solid stripes and some stripes containing geometric patterns. The short ends of the rug have white knotted fringe.
