19th Century Oil on Canvas of Mediterranean Cityscape

A 19th century oil on canvas painting by an unknown artist. The cityscape depicts a Mediterranean mountain village, showing a town of red roofs set between green fields and slightly overcast skies. The unsigned work is presented without glass in a gold tone metal frame with hanging wire and a metal hanging loop to the verso.
Condition
- canvas is wrapped around and laid on masonite, but only to edges; piece has original nails; craquelure to canvas; areas of darkened varnish; inpainting and areas of missing paint; stretcher marks present; scratching and chipping to frame throughout; toning and tears along edges backing paper; adhesive on masonite is crackling and toning; frame does not have glass covering; piece appears to have been removed from a different stretcher and adhered to masonite.
