Item Details
A lithograph on paper of the illustration by the artist Joseph Christian Leyendecker. This piece was created during the First World War to advocate the American population to buy bonds to assist in the war effort against the Central Powers and depicts a Boy Scout offering a sword with the Scout motto ‘Be Prepared’ inscribed on the blade to Lady Liberty who is holding a golden shield with the sigil for the United States. The piece is held in a metal frame that is bronze in tone with back matting to support the lithograph and has a wire hanger on the back.
