Hugo Kohler Biel Swiss Art Pottery Platter and Gmundner Keramik Dish
Item Details
A selection of handcrafted and hand-painted pottery. This includes a blue square dish with straight sides by Austrian firm Gmundner Keramik, featuring a floral design to the interior; marked to the underside with a foil label. Also included is a circa 1950s slipware serving platter with an elaborate central foliate design in yellow, green and oranges on a deep high-gloss brown. It is incised underneath ‘Kohler Biel Handarbeit’ for the Swiss art potter Hugo Kohler Biel.
