A Rococo Revival mahogany arm chair. This antique chair includes an ornate foliate and scrolled carved asymmetric back with painted splat including a couple in Regency period attire above a pierced and carved trefoil back support. The back includes a double rail which bows around and leads into carved arms with acanthus leaves and scrolled supports, over an oversized seat cushion in a salmon hue with piping details over a bowed seat support rail. The chair rests on cabriole legs with carved acanthus leaf knees and end in scrolled and pad feet.
