Item Details
A selection of two vintage folk art papier-mâché figurines. These depict a man and woman in stylized period country clothing of a Spanish style. The man is dressed in a wide brim black hat, loose shirt, and an oversized wrap above his black trousers. The woman is dressed in long off-white skirts with stripes of red, and a matching head scarf, as she carries two baskets of flowers. They stand of square bases, with no discernible maker’s marks.
Condition
- to fair; paper hair on woman falling off; split on man’s left wrist; paper torn in spots throughout; cracks on hands; stains on clothing.
