Gabor Peterdi Limited Edition Etching with Aquatint on Paper "Cliffs"

A limited edition etching with aquatint on paper titled Cliffs by well-listed Hungarian-American artist Gabor Peterdi (1915-2001). Published in 1961, the work depicts the rough sided cliff with craggy aquatint textures. Number 3 in an edition of 50, the piece is editioned in graphite to the lower left corner. Titled, signed, and dated to the lower margin in graphite. Under a single layer of white mat, the item is presented under glass in a wood frame. Gallery label present to the verso.

Peterdi was known for his prints and paintings. Working predominantly in the New England area, Peterdi also taught art at Hunter College, Yale University, and the Brooklyn Museum.
