Draper & Maynard Leather Advertising Boxing Gloves
Item Details
A pair of miniature Draper & Maynard leather advertising boxing gloves. The gloves are comprised of supple leather with thick padding, being stamped ‘the Schaefer Rubber Co; Cincinnati and Detroit; The Rubber Store’ to glove backs; the Schaefer Rubber Company later becoming The Cooper Tire Corporation. The gloves bear the sought after maker’s ‘Dog’ mark to palm with ‘D&M’ and the number ‘10.’ The gloves come housed in a vintage cardboard box.
