A collection of First Day of Issue commemorative stamps with gold plated replicas. There are twenty-three items dating to 1986 – 1987 in this collection, presented in collector’s binder. Also included is 1976 Bicentennial First Day Cover in folio, 1974 folio commemorating United States space achievements from Kitty Hawk to Skylab in Fleetwood folio, and 1976 Milestones in Mankind’s Peaceful Quest of the Cosmos Russian stamps in three-panel Fleetwood folio. Completing the lot are eleven pages (some sets incomplete) of information sheets with commemorative stamps from The 50 Greatest Events in American History with stamps dating from the 1940s – 1990s. Thirty-seven items total in the lot.
