An etching by James Alphege Brewer (English, 1882 – 1938) of the west facade of Reims Cathedral. This work depicts the facade with figures walking along the street in front and two French flags flying from the bell towers. The piece is signed by hand in pencil to the lower right corner and dated to the lower left. It is marked ‘RE-PROOF’ in plate to the lower left corner. It is presented in a gold tone frame with a wire to the verso ready to hang.
Condition
- to fair; frame has scratches throughout; frame is beginning to separate at corners; paper is acid burned and stained; verso is stained; backing paper is missing; no glass in frame.

- measures outside frame size; inside frame size 14.5" W x 21.5" H.
