Weiss Mixed Media Painting on Woven Paper of Abstract Composition
Item Details
A mixed media painting on woven paper of an abstract composition, created in 1966 and signed ‘Weiss’. This work features an abyss of watercolor and oil pigments in various tans and grays with sweeping brushstrokes, splotches and splatters of pigment, and linear accents applied in various directions. The painting is signed and dated to the lower left. It is mounted on an off-white background, behind glass, in an Arts & Crafts style wood frame.
Condition
- some dirt residue under glass in off-white margins; minor scratches and stains throughout frame; scratches and holes in cardboard backing.
