French bisque bust of a young maiden with head turned, ribbons in her hair and wearing a fine floral print blouse, modeled by A. Carrier-Belleuse, cast signed A. Carrier, hand decorated in polychrome enamelwith gilded accents, mounted atop a waisted circular socle, inscribed ‘A. Carrier’ to the back, raised oval Henri Ardant & Cie mark to the under side. Circa 1865.
