Item Details
An oil painting on canvas by Antonio Franchini (b. 1847). This work depicts a man in a reclined pose with a wand in hand as he spins a web above him. The piece is signed in the top right corner. It is presented in a beautiful ornate wood frame with a wire to the verso ready to hang.
Condition
- several chips and cracks to frame; top of column ornament on left side is almost entirely disconnected; top pediment is loose; painting could be cleaned more thoroughly.
