Item Details
An oil painting on board titled Off Newport by John Franklin Hawkins (early 20th century). This work depicts an ocean scape with the subtle colors of a sunset and clouds overhead and a silhouette of a clipper in the background. The piece is signed and dated 1919 to the lower left corner. It is presented in a wood frame with a wire to the verso ready to hang.
Condition
- frame is scratched throughout; board is warped; painting could be cleaned more thoroughly; frame joints aren’t completely flush.
