A 1945 oil painting on board titled Portrait of Serviceman by Italian artist R. Gulotta. This depicts a quarter length portrait, in three-quarter profile, of a young man, dressed in the notched collar khaki shirt of a military uniform. It is signed in the lower left corner ‘R.Gulotta Venice 1945’. This work is presented in a gold tone wooden frame, with a sawtooth hanger on verso.
Condition
- fair; painting could be cleaned more thoroughly; frame has darkened along inner edges; paint cracked throughout.
