1946 Original Signed Oil on Canvas of Italian Countryside
Item Details
A 1946 oil painting on canvas. This depicts a late summer Italian countryside, with golden fileds, and a central stone farmhouse. It is signed in the lower right corner ‘(illegible) Roma 46’. It is presented in a wooden frame, wired for hanging. A note, handwritten on the backing paper reads ‘Estate of C. Carwood Lipton Easy Company WWII Band of Brothers’.
Condition
- fair; colors are faded; painting would merit from a cleaning; frame is lightly worn throughout; torn paper backing.
