1946 Signed Original Oil on Canvas Board
Item Details
A 1946 oil painting on canvas board. This depicts a late stream meandering through a green floodplain, under a gray sky. It is signed in the lower right corner ‘(illegible) Roma 46’. It is presented in a wooden frame, wired for hanging. A note, handwritten on the backing paper reads ‘Estate of C. Carwood Lipton Easy Company WWII Band of Brothers’, however, no definitive provenance could be determined.
Condition
- fair edges of painting visible, not covered by inner edges of frame; light wear to frame’s finish on corners.
