1967 Oil Painting on Canvas of a Still Life of Eggs in a Basket
Item Details
A 1967 oil painting on canvas. This still life depicts eleven white eggs, in a cloth lined women basket upon a rough wooden table. An emerald green curtain drapes behind. It is signed in the bottom left corner what appears to read ‘F. Mantilla’. This is presented in a gold tone wooden frame, wired for hanging. It reads ‘Louis M Schafer’ by hand on the back of the canvas.
Condition
- craquelure to top right, bottom right, and bottom left; small abrasion to top right right above the basket; wear to finish of frame, some surface dust.
