A set of three offset lithographs on paper of clowns by listed artist Arthur Sarnoff (1912-2000). This collection includes two unframed prints titled Coco the Clown and Rolo the Clown depicting clowns taking part in different acts. The collection includes a brown wood framed print under glass of a clown tipping his hat and has hanging wire present to verso. Each print in the collection is signed in print and was published by Arthur A. Kaplan Company. Sarnoff is best known for his illustrations and paintings which were whimsical and drew attention to the reflection of different aspects of American culture.
Condition
- frame is lightly scratched; corners and edges of loose prints are bent.
