Metal Funeral Director Box
Item Details
A metal funeral director box. This black box was once used by Walter B. Cooke, Inc., a funeral director in New York City. The box is not dated, but based on the history of the company and addresses listed on the box, it was likely used circa 1917. The top of the box lists the company name, and two Bronx addresses, and features a lock to the front for which the key is missing.

Condition
- to fair. Box shows signs of wear consistent with age and use. Rust is present to the edges of the box, as well as small areas on the hinge, and a larger patch on the interior upper left corner.
