A wood engraving after a watercolor from very well-listed Spanish Surrealist Salvador Dalí’s (1904 – 1989) highly-famed series Divine Comedy, titled Purgatory Canto 6. The print depicts a bulbous nude gray figure with sketchy red linework holding a shadowy figure that reaches desperately towards the sky. The print is signed in-plate to the lower center margin in red. The print is double-matted in brown and white and is presented behind glass in a rustic-style wooden frame with dark brown painted finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso for hanging. A Certificate of Authenticity from Park West Galleries is attached to the verso. Included in the Catalogue Raisonné, “The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali” by Albert Field, catalogue page 191.
